ANALISIS DAYA SAING EKSPOR KOPI INDONESIA DI PASAR DUNIA
Abstract
Makalah ini berisi tentang analisis keunggulan kompetitif industri kopi dari tahun 1990-2011 dengan membandingkan kopi Indonesia sebagai salah satu pengekspor utama dengan beberapa negara pengekspor utama lainnya seperti (Brazil, Kolombia, dan Vietnam). Perhitungan yang digunakan yaitu Revealed Comparative Advantage (RCA), Comparative Export Performance (CEP), dan Market Share Index (MSI). Data diambil dan diolah dari beberapa sumber seperti National United Nations Year Book 2010, International Trade Center (ITC) yaitu UN COMTRADE Statistic sampai January 2012 dan Food Agriculture Association (FAO). Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan, terlihat bahwa Kolombia diikuti oleh Brazil dan Vietnam memiliki keunggulan komparatif pada semua periode. Sedangkan Indonesia masih berada pada peringkat ke empat. Indonesia harus menghadapi kompetisi yang kuat antara Brazil dan Kolombia dalam pasar United State of America (USA), Jerman, Italia dan Jepang. Terlebih lagi, 90% produk kopi Indonesia adalah kopi robusta yang memiliki kualitas rendah. Hal ini menyebabkan Indonesia mendapat harga yang lebih rendah dibandingkan negara lainnya.
